Data backup and recovery

Protect your company from data loss, cyberattacks, and malware threats. Data is a vital asset for any business, making its protection and availability a top priority. Companies that don't have effective data backup and recovery solutions often face a number of serious problems that can significantly affect their business operations and reputation.

How data backup and recovery helps your business

Protection against data loss

Ensures the safety of important information in the event of a hardware failure, employee error, or cyberattack.

Quick resumption of work

It allows you to quickly resume business operations after unforeseen situations, minimizing downtime.

Protection against cyber attacks

Backups allow you to recover data encrypted by ransomware attacks without paying a ransom.

Compliance with legal requirements

Backups are often mandatory to comply with data retention standards set by regulators.

Improving your reputation

Demonstrates to customers and partners that the company is serious about the security and safety of their data.

Ensuring business continuity

In the event of a crisis, backups can help avoid serious losses and loss of customers.

Protection against the human factor

Backups compensate for accidental deletion or modification of data by employees.

Flexibility and scalability

Modern technologies allow you to store backups in the cloud, which provides easy access to data from anywhere.

Questions we answer before implementation

01

Reliability

How will the new system protect data from failures and attacks? Will the system protect data from failures and attacks, as well as ensure that it can continue to operate without interruption even if the main data center location is lost?

02

Scalability

Will it be able to adapt to the growth of data volumes in the future?

03

Recovery speed

How quickly can data be recovered in the event of a failure?

Practical implementation case: customer challenges addressed through the implementation of Veritas NetBackup

01

Support for the customer's current infrastructure and IT and business system components

Veritas NetBackup met the need to backup and restore all critical data, including S4Hana and Microsoft SQL backups. This allowed not only to protect critical data, but also to ensure the uninterrupted operation of all subsystems. The new system replaced several previous solutions that did not meet the reliability and availability requirements, such as Veritas BackupExec, HPE Data Protector, Azure Backup, and AWS Backup.

02

Duration and complexity of implementation

The system implementation process took just over 3 months. It involved specialists from DTEK's IT department and the team from Veritas and its partner. The main resources included time for setup, data migration and backup verification, as well as specialists for testing at various stages.

04

System scalability

Given the company's growing needs, it was important to choose a system that could scale. Veritas NetBackup demonstrated scalability across both on-premises and cloud environments, providing confidence in future data growth.

05

Protecting backup data

The backup data is stored in immutable copies, which makes it impossible to modify or delete it. The system has reduced the time required to create offsite backups, allowing backups to be performed in multiple locations, including different data centers and a tape library.

06

Data reliability and security

Thanks to encryption, deduplication, and remote data storage across multiple sites, the system ensured complete protection even in the event of a failure at one of the data centers (DC).

07

Employee feedback

The IT team and other employees highly praised the convenience and reliability of the new solution. They particularly emphasized the simplicity of managing backups and the speed of restoring data after a failure. The transparency of the backup process ensures daily updates on the timeliness and success of the process, thanks to automated reporting.
