MODUS X, DTEK, and DEV Challenge hosted Hack X, an online hackathon focused on developing AI solutions to optimize corporate and operational processes across DTEK Group businesses.
The hackathon brought together over 100 participants who formed 50 teams of engineers, developers, and AI enthusiasts. Over the course of a week, they worked on real business cases with the support of more than 15 experts from MODUS X and DTEK, receiving over 10 hours of mentoring sessions.
As noted by Yevhenii Horbachov, CTO of MODUS X, Hack X demonstrated how ideas can quickly move from experimentation to practical implementation: “For the team, it was important not just to generate concepts, but to see how AI can address real challenges of large-scale businesses and scale into applied products for the energy sector and corporate management.”

As a result of the hackathon, 11 MVP solutions were developed, several of which are already ready for further testing in real business environments.
The prize fund was shared between the following teams:
CodeBridge — AI Document Search;
Voltelligence — Open AI Challenge (forecasting and regulation of energy capacity based on air raid alerts);
Wildcat AI — AI-Geo Copilot;
EnerAlze — AI Blackout Optimizer (Judges’ Choice Award).
Summing up the outcomes of the hackathon, Andrii Bondar, R&D and Innovation Lead at MODUS X, emphasized the practical value of the format: “Hack X allowed us to view DTEK’s business challenges through the lens of external teams and obtain solutions with real potential for piloting and further development within live operational processes.”
The most promising solutions will be selected for pilot projects, further refined based on the developed MVPs, and tested in real-world conditions. The team is also considering repeating the Hack X format in 2026.
