MODUS X took part in the national research project “Code of the Economy,” presented this week by IT Ukraine Association — Ukraine’s largest specialized IT association. As part of the study, the DEEP product was included in the sectoral analysis as an impact case of industrial digital transformation.
“Code of the Economy” is the first comprehensive study in Ukraine to assess the structural impact of the IT industry on the economy, based on economic modeling and the theory of creative destruction. The report provides a systemic view of the role technology plays in the country’s recovery, strengthening resilience, and enhancing global competitiveness.
According to the study, IT already serves as one of the key drivers of the economy: the industry accounts for 3.2% of GDP, generates $6.6 billion in exports, and supports more than 800,000 jobs. Every hryvnia invested in IT creates additional value across the economy, confirming the systemic multiplier effect of technology.
In this context, DEEP by MODUS X is presented as a practical solution demonstrating how digitalization is transforming the operating models of large enterprises.
At industrial enterprises, a significant share of employees does not have constant access to digital infrastructure, while internal processes often remain fragmented and paper-based. DEEP addresses this challenge by creating a unified digital environment for interaction between employees and the business.
The product was developed based on the digital transformation experience of DTEK Group. DEEP evolved from the internal DTEK One Click program and was later scaled into a universal platform for companies with distributed structures and large frontline workforces.
The platform combines a mobile app for employees with a digital HR environment, enabling companies to:
- Automate HR processes and document workflows
- Provide access to corporate services without tying employees to a physical workplace
- Centralize internal communications
- Reduce the operational workload of the HR function
The study also highlights the results of DEEP’s implementation across DTEK Group after two years:
- More than 25,000 active mobile app users
- 44,000+ leave requests processed digitally
- 100% employee coverage across key businesses
- More than 2,500 digital certificates generated without HR involvement
- Significant reduction in operational workload for HR teams
These results reinforce a key conclusion of “Code of the Economy”: the level of digitalization directly determines business efficiency, scalability, and resilience in times of crisis.
